About the Society
The World Visionary Society was founded with the primary purpose of fostering world change through the radical awakening and transformation of individuals. It is our conviction that our planet’s problems and challenges are a direct and literal reflection of the collective psyche of humanity. Thus, our experience of the world is not caused by the contents of this collective psyche but rather exists as its concrete, physical projection. Such conceptions and beliefs have heretofore existed almost exclusively in the realm of spirituality, philosophy, and religion. Our Society, however, is not based on philosophical theories, systems of cognitive belief, or vague conceptions of spirituality. Rather, we are united by a deep understanding that the truth of reality can be found only through direct, self-affirming, and self-authenticating experience, using a function of conscious perception that is free of the influences of the brain and its five senses.
3 Fundamental Principles
To the furtherance of this understanding, we have established our mission on the following principles:
We embrace all people, regardless of their race, gender, class, religion, sexual orientation, or belief.
Every person, by virtue of her infinite origins and substance, is capable of transcending her apparent genetic and psychological limitations to realize the deepest purpose as a human being. Individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to join our Society not only in the pursuit of their most perfect human expression but also with the ultimate desire of creating profound changes in the fabric of humanity. Our Society is home to artists, musicians, engineers, doctors, teachers, architects, and all manner of dreamers, and we invite everyone to consider joining in our vision and be initiated into a new way of living, perceiving, and creating.
The Way of the Giver is a complete and powerfully effective means to establish an individual in a state of stability, clarity, and awakened vision, opening unimaginable possibilities for transformation, innovation, and boundless creativity.
Our Way is the foundation for a shift in consciousness. It changes the way in which we cognize, approach, and solve personal and non-personal problems alike. Every area of an individual’s life must be handled in order to make room for the great process that This Way initiates. The process begins with transmission and follows through a comprehensive unfolding of body-mind purification, optimization of the psyche, and realization of the True Identity and source of both conscious and subconscious mind. This unfolding inevitably leads toward mastery and complete command of the source and fountainhead of life, creativity, and eventually, world events.
No problem or challenge is insurmountable when awake as the True Self.
Our students and masters categorically reject the manipulation of existing results, outcomes, and perceived realities. We believe that humanity may resolve any conflict, problem, or challenge by strengthening its connection to the collective unconscious and thus aligning itself with its True Source. The Way of the Giver is the practical and explicit means for making this happen. It is not a theory, philosophy, or system of belief but rather a systematic awakening of the higher functions and possibilities of human beings through connection with the root and foundation of all that exists.
13 Tenets
These are the tenets by which our members, students, and masters live and breathe. They are not to be blindly accepted and belief in them without personal experience or confirmation of their truths is strongly discouraged. Throughout the process of exploration and discovery as a student, it is expected that the reality and depth of these principles will become self-evident. Until that time, they should simply serve as guidelines to those that are new to The Way of the Giver.
Unlearning
The process of achieving the highest human potential is not in adding knowledge, skills, or mastering a technique. It is instead actualized by the correction of misperception via the removal of illusory physical and mental obstacles. This, in turn, leads to the realization that all potential knowledge, skill, and mastery pre-exists in a maximally perfected state, available to any and all that would become transparent to it.
Experience
An individual’s capability for realization is defined by her most intense experience. It is therefore necessary, if one is to transform incomplete perception, to come in contact with an experience that, while tangible to the conscious mind, operates from a depth perfectly prior and senior to it. Further, this new experience must overpower, in both intensity and strength, any and all other potential experiences available to the human body and mind in order for unlearning to be effective.
Reality vs. Dream
There exists a Universal Mind which is not defined by the dimensions of time and space. It is from this mind that all discrete minds, within time and space, are formed. The process of human embodiment flows from perfectly abstract, infinite energy to progressively more discrete, actualized, and tangible forms. The entire span of time and space is simultaneously present, outside its very own constructs. What human beings currently call reality is the illusory collapse of infinity into serialized times and places via the actualized mind-filtering form of the human brain. As such, different filtering mechanisms throughout nature experience time at different frequency, dependent on organismal form and evolutionary arc. Beyond the brain and its filtered perception, billions of years of history may be manifested in a single instant. Explanations of life and questions of “why we are here” are scattered throughout time, yet these explanations and questions are truly echoes of the Universal Mind searching for Itself, apparently lost in time and space, experiencing a total forgetting of its original motive to dream. The Way of the Giver is a remembering process which ultimately reveals the True Identity and restores one’s innate capability to create and influence human (and inhuman) reality.
Expectations
All experiences in life prior to remembering the True Identity are nothing more than another detour within the same old, timeworn dream. Whether one finds a temporary high from popping a pill, going on an adventure, or shifting back and forth over the threshold of super-conscious meditation, the effect is ultimately the same. One always returns to the expected. The subconscious intuition that there is nothing more than what could be expected is itself the dreaming mechanism. It could be called a defense mechanism. By our own design, it does not want us to suspect our perceived reality. But ultimately, we must deeply suspect this reality. If you doubt the force of the dream, look into your eyes in a mirror and say “you are not real”. An army of subtle yet lethally effective thoughts will “prove” that this is insane nonsense. When you perceive and understand the source of these thoughts, the structure of the apparently discrete mind will begin to unravel. When enough people in our time and place have awakened to this insight, our capability to bend and shape reality will be realized. For now, nothing is possible that is not within the limits of the expectations of humanity at large.
Science and Logic
Everything in the manifest universe is the result of the perpetual activity of creation. As the Universal Mind thinks, reality and its endless objects and interactions are created. It is a moment to moment process that only seems solid because of the static nature of our mind-filtering brain which inherently fixates experiences in space-time in order to actualize them. As scientists in the area of quantum physics are discovering, there is no apparent end to the level of depth in objective reality, inward or outward, as perceived by the five senses of bodily awareness. There will never be satisfaction in the realm of science and the knowledge that springs from it, because the world is appearing in the present, moment to moment, from an endless channel of infinite mind. Infinity expressed in time and space is absolutely without closure. The more that is dreamt and created, the more there is to discover. For this reason, The Way of the Giver eschews the process of scientific enquiry as a means to comprehend the intrinsic nature of, and possibilities within, perceived reality. For every idea, philosophy, or concept, a compelling argument can be and, with intention, will be found. Logic is essential in elaborating a solution but is absolutely unnecessary and even detrimental to the process of finding the solution. Our approach to life and problems in particular is to establish perfect transparency to the Universal Mind in order to effortlessly receive a perfect workaround for every apparent obstacle. It is only after synchronization with this vision that science and logic may be applied, along with the expanded understanding of the problem at hand, to manifest effective results.
Problems and Solutions
Problems arise in direct proportion to the level and nature of the collective misperceptions and delusions of humanity. Laws and limitations, created by the Universal Mind with the intention of giving finite expression to the infinite, have become apparently external and out of control from the perspective of discrete minds in time and space. What was intended to be a “beautiful dream” has become a persistent nightmare. Having forgotten the infinite power of the Universal Mind that is our True Identity, we entertain thoughts of loss, pain, poverty, terrorism, murder, and all manner of unexpected shocks to a vision of a world that would otherwise be peaceful. This mass psychosis bends reality unknowingly and our nightmare is externalized in the apparently objective world. Truly, nothing in the world exists outside of our Mind, yet we perpetually create unimaginable pain and suffering by turning each other’s attention to our collective shadow. In this way, problems are found where problems are sought. Thinking of unfortunate outcomes is, in fact, a form of such seeking. For this reason, we refuse to accept the finality of any problem, because we know that problems are manifested by our collective meditation on their potential for becoming. They are not, therefore, solved solely on the basis of our current beliefs and limited knowledge. Rather, solutions are born and elaborated in time and space via transparency and resonance with the Universal Mind.
Transmission
Every person is an energy transceiver, constantly transmitting their state of being, including both conscious and subconscious thought. Thoughts are superluminal energy in the realm of time and space (i.e. they can travel faster than the speed of light). They are capable of wrapping around our entire planet in less than a nanosecond if given enough amplification. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are constantly transmitting our state of being to one another, with varying degrees of intensity. Those with the strongest thought-forms usually manifest as charismatic individuals, of both the benevolent and malevolent sort, capable of bending the wills and desires of others of a weaker thought-intensity. The degree to which you are in control of your thoughts is directly proportionate to your susceptibility to the influence of such individuals. The Way of the Giver begins with a deep and direct “imprint” that is prior to and deeper than all ordinary thought. By receiving and integrating this imprint, the process of becoming transparent to the Universal Mind is quickened. This is the greatest gift that can be given (i.e. conveyed) to another human being, because it relieves them of dependency on weak substitutes such as teachers, rituals, beliefs, and dogmas. This gift triggers the inherent capability to receive everything that is needed for happiness and freedom or, if required, the ability to create what does not yet exist. By means of receiving the gift of transmission, we are empowered to pass it along to everyone that we encounter, including those that are not necessarily within close physical proximity (via a complex chain of causality). In this way, the capability of humanity to envision and actualize a future free of pain, limitation, and suffering is awakened.
Creativity
99% of every experience is a replay. When the mind has awakened to its True State, coincident with yet transcendent of the primordial brain, every experience in day to day life in the commercial wasteland of modern post-industrial human culture is seen to be a repetition of the past. True living, electric and vibrantly alive, is in no way linked to anything that has ever happened before. It is in this state that all the greatest ideas have emerged, for ideas, in their purest form, are non-causal creation. They have no origin, for they are their very origin. Perhaps they are clothed in thought-forms that have been milling around and transmuting over millions of years of human evolution, responding to the specific configuration of society at hand, but they are nonetheless pure and spontaneous. Human life for most individuals is a pre-scripted play in which roles, hackneyed for thousands of years, come back for a repeat performance; though the actor, through the illusion of birth, has forgotten how many times it has been played. As we each become identified with our deepest mind (and only mind) beyond the clench of time and space, our true possibilities become brilliantly vivid. Then we begin creating, awakening from the sleep of time and dependence on the past.
Renunciation of Media
In our times, the most common form of thought transmission and, consequently, mass hypnosis, is media. Humanity is constantly opening its mind to all manner of thought via television, radio, internet, and an ever-increasing number of mobile devices. The most insidious of all transmissions, however, are news streams. Modern news is primarily the feeding ground for sick minds looking for confirmation of their vulnerability, mortality, and misery. News media is directly responsible for programming human minds, day in and day out, with the message that there is a constant stream of problems everywhere from which we are helpless to escape. By meditating on this perpetual flow of psychic poison, we become subconsciously and autonomically predisposed to tragedy. Even those who have a “thick outer shell” are not immune to this form of self-toxification. In order to take up The Way of the Giver, we insist on a complete renunciation of any and all modern news streams and, if the student is capable, from all other forms of media that do not support their goal of purifying and strengthening the mind. There will be a time when you can look upon any negative message, regardless of its tragedy and brutality, and transmute its outcome, thus helping those that are suffering. Until that time, if you are not in a position to directly (physically) support those in need, do not put your attention on it. Our community tracks positive initiatives in 13 areas of influence across the planet and strives to be a source of inspiration and guidance for those that would make profound changes in the world. The time has come to push tragedy mongers and “bad news” journalists into the corner. The fewer people that consume their message of despair, the more drive there will be for a focus on truly helpful messages of humanity, philanthropy, and love.
Fear
Humanity has fallen into mass psychosis, expecting and believing in tragedy at every corner. Though modern media is largely responsible for magnifying the pervasiveness and all-encompassing potential of fear, ultimately, we are responsible for allowing it space in our minds. People all around the globe are amplifying and reinforcing the persistent idea that we live in a perpetually volatile and dangerous world, full of terrible possibilities. This mentality has become a run-away train, dragging humanity ever so deeper into its self-created nightmare. In truth, we are creating this state and its manifestation in objective reality. Fear perpetuates that which is feared. One cannot exist without the other. Humanity at large, however, does not believe it is dreaming nor that their suffering is self-inflicted. As a result, fear is finding more footholds and more skillful means to entrance minds. In recent times, tragedies have started to appear in places where humans seek shelter and peace. Our most vulnerable, most cherished emotions are being trampled by inexplicable horrors, and the news media is spreading the resulting fear as thickly and as widely as possible. Not a single soul is free of the knowledge of the shocking potential of inhumanity and violence. We must realize that terrible events manifest only and explicitly as a result of the mass mentality of their impending and inescapable possibility. Fear is the single most lethal and destructive of all human emotions. It must be eradicated from humanity in all its endless forms and the first step is to come in contact with your True Identity and allow the process of purification and optimization to begin.
Birth and Death
Birth and death mark the beginning and the end of a finite entity’s appearance in the manifest universe. Many philosophies, in particular Eastern schools of thought, perceive birth and death as an undesired cycle that must be transcended. There are also various philosophies that have described, in painstaking detail, the entire structure and cycle of the manifest universe as well as, in some cases, all potential parallel universes. In truth, such ideas are a misperception and even denial of the Universal Mind. The more we are transparent to our True Self, the more we see that there are no mistakes. What we previously saw as pain and suffering, we now conceive as part of a total experience, as One Mind, unbroken and un-shattered. In this “state” of transparency, the birth and death of the universe is just as illusory as the birth and death of the body. Do not be fooled with religious speculations (either intellectual or experiential) that claim we are in a potentially long and arduous cycle of suffering that must be ended (i.e. transcended). Reality is much more open ended than that. You, as the Universal Mind, have thrown these speculations into the time-space continuum to reinforce the dream. And why would You do that? Very simply, because you saw value in the dream, and this value has not diminished. What is more electrifying than experiencing infinity from within a dream that has become real? We should be less concerned about ending cycles and escaping “karma” and more committed to the process of removing layers of misperception and unlearning knowledge. We are here now because we want to be here now. Premature or unexpected death is only possible when you are not in sync with your True Mind. It is supported by the subconscious desire for escape and the belief in mortality and suffering. Further, we do not support the voluntary ending of one’s own life or the life of another through the artifices of suicide or war. To practice the Way of the Giver, you must first accept where you are in time and space and learn that there is no limit to the joy, freedom, and happiness that can be experienced exactly in that space. This realization is contagious, as it amplifies and radiates in all directions. This is the true freedom from birth and death and the Way that we live and transmit.
Familiarity
The universe is a finite expression, in time and space, of an Infinite Mind. We, as human beings, are not simply of this Mind; we are this Mind. In that sense, though we appear in a finite time and place, we constantly exist, at our depth, as an incomprehensibly radiant, loving, and endless Singularity. As this Infinite Mind finds expression in time and space, all possibilities are simultaneously co-existent. Awakening to this reality as a human is the greatest joy imaginable, and the reason we chose limitation in the first place. We cross over into this reality unconsciously when the body enters deep sleep every night and also during death. But these “gateways” of consciousness are only illusory veils on our True State. Familiarity, in the realm of human relations and beyond, is the false perception that you know a person, place, or thing by virtue of its repetition in the spectrum of your experience. Because the appearance and behaviors of people, places, and things are, generally, consistent, the five senses begin to categorize and overgeneralize in order to minimize the overload of impressions, thus mitigating chaos and allowing minds to be functional in time and space. This is the illusion of familiarity. Every person is an expression of infinity. For this reason, you can open new truths about them every day, every minute, and never come to an end. Our inability to see this endless depth in others is due to our illusory perception that reality repeats itself. It only seems that way because we are locked into visions of the past. As a result, we often become bored with our constant human relations (both intimate and otherwise). We intuitively seek out new and fresh relations, yet the supply of new and fresh people is as infinite as the depth of the apparently familiar relationships we leave behind. The Way of the Giver clears the blocks in perception that prevent the full and ecstatic participation in the present moment, within relationships and outside of them, thus lifting the burden of familiarity from the mind.
Ego and Others
Contrary to schools of thought originating from the East and most recently, in the West, human existence is neither a mistake, a falling from grace, nor an illusion that must be transcended. As stated in the tenet on Birth and Death, the need to end the apparent cycles of appearance and disappearance of all manifest entities, both personal and universal, is an erroneous presumption based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of reality. Every person in every single time and place, as well as every entity across the entire manifest universe, is not only exactly where they are supposed to be, but also where they want to be. This may be particularly difficult to comprehend, especially if you are in a state of great physical or mental suffering. In truth, however, no state is eternal. Ultimately, our destiny as apparently individual minds and bodies are more profound than any philosophy or religion could possibly intimate. The future of humanity in the world as we perceive it will be defined by complete transparency to the Universal Mind. It is in this “state” that infinity realizes its greatest mystery: the paradox of the ineffable manifesting finite reality. There is no cycle. There is only the appearance of a cycle. Similarly, there is no return. Again, the mystery and ensuing joy become deeper with each turn, with each unfolding. There are no mistakes in this schema. Along the way, we must remember not to take personal credit for our discoveries and accomplishments, as has been the undying tradition of our ancestors. There is no great discovery or accomplishment that comes from you, as an individual. There is only One Dreamer in this play. Taking credit only reinforces the illusion which must eventually be understood and overcome. Our journey begins in a specific place and time, through seemingly obvious intentions and activities. But the greatest surprise is waiting on the other side of you. Opening to this possibility will serve everyone, everywhere.
